Virada do Aruá
Dec/27 2026 to Jan/2 2027Praia do Pontal - Itacaré Bahia

Aruá offers a new way to experience New Year's Eve in Itacaré. Over the course of nine days, music, sports, wellness, nature, and Brazilian culture come together in a program that runs from sunrise to sunset. During the day, guests can enjoy outdoor activities. At night, Aruá shifts gears with four open-bar parties. There are also special Samba and procession events that are open to the public.
The daily schedule features activities such as surfing, *altinha* (beach keep-yippy), footvolley, beach tennis, running, yoga, hiking, *forró* dance classes, recovery sessions, and wellness experiences, alongside gatherings that celebrate local culture.
At night, Aruá hosts four open-bar parties: "BEM-TE-VI" on Dec 27, "SIRICUTICO" on Dec 29, "VIRADA DO ARUÁ" on Dec 31, and the finale, "DESBARATINA," on Jan 2. The music ranges from Brazilian classics (MPB) and *funk* to electronic, *samba*, and other rhythms of the Brazilian summer.
The *samba* gatherings and processions are open to the public, fostering a connection with local culture. "Samba dos Corais" takes place on Dec 28, followed by "Samba das Conchas" on Dec 30—sunset events that blend music, culture, and the unique atmosphere of Itacaré.
More than just a New Year's celebration, VIRADA DO ARUÁ is an experience that allows you to fully immerse yourself in Itacaré: with your body in motion, feet in the sand, the sea and river nearby, and music serving as the meeting point.
